Fat32format makes the entire process to get the latest updates.
This process does not require a computer restart, allowing you to format the drive without rebooting. Alternatively, you could run "diskpart" in PowerShell, Teriminal, or the Command Prompt, then run "disk list" to get a list of disks attached to your PC and the correspodning drive letter. If you're on Windows 11, like we are, look for "Terminal Admin " instead. The drive may have errors or logical damage. Remember, just because you can format a large drive with FAT32 doesn't mean that you should � exFAT is better in most ways , and is supported by almost every modern device.
